The Department of State has developed educational brochures to assist the citizens of Louisiana to understand Louisiana’s voter registration and voting process.

Brochures for Individuals with Special Needs: State of Louisiana , Voting Rights for Individuals with Disabilities and Residents of Nursing Homes – This brochure contains information on the entire voter registration and voting process for individuals with disabilities and residents of nursing homes.
Guide to Using the Audio Voting Keypad - The AVC Audio Voting Keypad is available for use in voting on Election Day or during early voting. The AVC Audio Voting Keypad may be used by any voter, especially those individuals who are: visually impaired; physically disabled; illiterate; unable to read the written word; and unable to read English. There are no requirements for a voter to use the Audio Voting Keypad. Braille versions of this guide are available at the precinct on Election Day.
