Act 786 of the 2003 Legislative Session recognized that it was appropriate to establish a museum to chronicle the history of the marine fisheries industry in Louisiana. The museum is currently closed, but the Secretary of State's Office is putting together plans and securing funding for the museum, which will soon be open to the public.
