The Corporation Laws book includes laws regarding domestic and nonprofit corporations, foreign corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, limited liability partnerships, and the registration of trade names, trademarks and service marks.
Legislation Publications
Acts of the Legislature
The Acts of the Legislature are published annually and include all the Acts passed in the regular and/or extraordinary sessions, as indicated. The Acts are first promulgated in the Official State Journal newspaper. The newspaper format Acts are then bound, with only the index, to serve as a temporary reference until the buckram bound volumes are published. The Newspaper Acts are usually available within two or three months after the session adjourns. The Bound Acts are available five to six months after adjournment, and include the constitutional amendments (if any), the tables, and the index.
Index of Acts
The information in the Index of Acts page is the official record going back to 1998 showing the list of bills which have been approved by the Governor, received in this office, and assigned Act numbers. These documents contain a complete list of Legislative Acts, sorted by Act number. Copies of Acts can be ordered from the Publications Division.
Legislative Bills to Acts Database-Current Session
Legislative Bills to Acts Database-Current Session can be searched by bill number or date signed, for the current legislative session.
Calendars & Journals
The calendar tracks each individual bill and indicates each action taken by the Legislature, from its first reading to the final action. The House and Senate journals track the proceedings of each day of the session, beginning with roll call and ending with adjournment. The calendars & journals are lengthy in nature and are usually several volumes, depending on the number of bills introduced.

Lawrason Act
This book contains R.S. 33:321-481, commonly known as the Lawrason Act. These are the laws by which incorporated municipalities govern themselves, and includes powers and duties of the elected officials and municipal courts.
Election Code
This book includes Title 18 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes regarding the laws governing all aspects of elections in the State of Louisiana.
Election Returns
These books contain precinct-by-precinct returns for all Presidential and Gubernatorial Elections. It also contains a parish-by-parish recapitulation of the returns for each election, as promulgated by the Secretary of State's office in the Official State Journal. These books are a valuable reference for scholars, political analysts, journalists and historians.
Report of Secretary of State
Published biennially, this book is a compilation of the results of every election held in Louisiana for a two-year period. It is used as a reference and research tool by political analysts, colleges and universities, U. S. Government offices, and other research oriented organizations. It also includes a brief listing of revenues collected by the Department of State, a chart showing the election districts contained in each parish in Louisiana, and data regarding the registered voters throughout the two-year period.
Code of Governmental Ethics
The Code of Governmental Ethics is mandated by the Louisiana Constitution, Article X, Section 21, and the Secretary of State is required by R.S. 42:1162 to provide a copy to every public servant who receives a commission. This book contains Chapter 15 of Title 42 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes.
Louisiana Roster of Officials
The Louisiana Roster of Officials contains information about every elected official in Louisiana, and includes photographs and biographies of the Statewide Elected Officials, the U. S. Senators and Congressmen, and the members of the Louisiana Legislature. This book has sections on parish and municipal officials, as well as the Governor-appointed boards and commissions. Also included is information about election districts, the duties, qualifications and terms of elected officials, functions of the Office of the Secretary of State, information about museums and Quick Facts about Louisiana.

Guide to Non-Public Records of the Louisiana State Archives
This is a guide to the non-public (donated) records and collections maintained at the State Archives. It is in chronological order, cross referenced by subject.
Louisiana Facts Brochure
This is a full color brochure of facts about Louisiana. It includes photos of the State Capitol, State Tree, State Mammal, State Bird, State Dog, State Crustacean, State Flower, State Reptile, and State Wildflower. It also contains highlights of the history of Louisiana, the ten flags which have flown over Louisiana, and prior versions of the State Seal. These brochures are provided at no cost, as a service to the citizens of Louisiana.
Office of the State Register
This office of state government publishes the governor's Executive Orders the Louisiana Administrative Code(LAC), the Administrative Procedures Act, and the Louisiana Register, a monthly publication which provides an access to the certified regulations and legal notices issued by the executive branch of the state government. Proposed and final rules published in the Louisiana Register are codified for easy Louisiana Administrative Code research capabilities. Follow this link for these publications.
